The North Estonia Medical Centre (NEMC) is one of the most prominent and innovative hospitals in the Estonia, also fastest growing e-hospital in the Baltic region. The NEMC was established in 2001 by the Estonian government. It is a hub of the Healthcare Network in North Estonia: the leading Oncology Centre, Estonian biggest Psychiatric Centre, the biggest Blood Centre, the largest Trauma Centre, and North Estonia largest Cardiological Centre. The NEMC is a teaching hospital and an eager user of latest technology and new solutions.
About 150 000 patients receive specialist medical care annually. Over 24 500 of them are assigned to the hospital’s 1200 beds. Our strengths are interdisciplinary approach to treating patients and the high development of specialized areas that require a high level of professionalism. The NEMC consists of seven clinics with 32 highly specialised centres and is an employer for over 5000 people: over 500 doctors and about 150 residents, over 2,200 qualified nurses and other nursing personnel, but also laboratory assistants and other support services personnel.
