MercurHosp was incorporated at the end of 2013 in the legal form of an ASBL.
The objective is to create a common structure intended, in the long term, to provide a range of services necessary for the organization of hospital care.
This Central Public Markets (now Central Purchasing according to the terminology of the new law in force) is responsible for carrying out Public Markets procedures on behalf of its members. The latter retain the choice of whether or not to participate in the market procedures initiated by MercurHosp.
MercurHosp carries out contracts for Services and Supplies, not works, in all categories of purchases (equipment and supplies of all types, medical devices, drugs, financial services, miscellaneous services, etc.).
After the contracts have been awarded, the Purchasing Departments of the participating institutions are responsible for the execution phase.
